woooooo!! Awesome. I like the amount of pictures in this blogpost. I also like the amount of leg room in business class, I might have to figure out some way to do that from now on.

Now onto more real stuff:
1) Japanese airplane food seems awesome. I don't know how good it actually tasted, but it at least looks way cooler than American airplane food (or European, or whatever).

2)I really want that Early Grey Bagel, and also that muffin.

3)I'm glad you established contact! I was pretty much worried about you until you posted on Deren's wall and then I was no longer worried. Also it's good that no last minute skyping with various inanimate objects needed to be involved.

4)It seems like your 27 hour journey was only slightly lengthened by the train mishap, which is good! So....is it usually a 26 hour journey? You made it sound like there were tons of problems and it took you like twice as long as usual....(which of course wouldn't make sense given the flight length...)

5)I like all the things that you were pleasantly surprised to remember, and I want them in America, now.

6) I hope the long-awaited concert was good!!! As I'm sure it was.

7) Have funnnn and be safe and stuff and keep blogging, as the opportunities arise. (Now that I've practically written my own blog post.....)

Thanks for the comment Harvey! I am sort of doing the whole rental-phone thing as an experiment... this trip is also about learning HOW to visit Japan as a 旅行, you know? Mostly though it was too last-minute for me to want to deal with making my iPhone work here :/ I guess I'd better brace myself for when I go back to Narita in a couple of weeks.

I ate some yummy tako-salad that Yuka's mom made last night... but no takoyaki yet!! Gotta get it in the streets of Osaka, of course.

いいな！楽しそう！ And great that you're in Kansai! :-) :-) eat some takoyaki for us.

Careful with those rental phones. I was SHOCKED when I got back to the states after my trip this summer - those things can get -expensive- and fast!

Keep the pictures coming!
